Our Mission

Making Feeding Development Mainstream

The Children’s F.E.D. Foundation is working towards a future where feeding development is recognised as a fundamental part of childhood development.

The Foundation believes that every child should have the opportunity to benefit from the food and learning experiences available to them. Achieving this requires more than improving food provision alone. It requires greater understanding of the developmental skills that enable children to engage with food and participate in everyday life.

The Foundation brings together families, educators, health professionals, researchers and policy makers to improve understanding of feeding development and ensure that children receive the support they need to participate fully in everyday life.

Through research, education, community engagement and advocacy, the Foundation is building awareness, capability and collaboration across the systems that influence children’s outcomes. Our aim is to make feeding development a recognised part of every child’s health, learning and participation journey.
