The Children’s F.E.D. Foundation exists because feeding development is often overlooked.
Health services, education settings and food initiatives all play important roles in supporting children. Yet feeding development sits between these systems. It influences a child’s ability to engage with food, participate in learning, develop independence and take part in everyday life, but responsibility for it is rarely owned by any one sector.
As a result, many children and families find themselves navigating multiple services and systems that each see part of the picture, while the broader developmental journey remains poorly understood.
The Children’s F.E.D. Foundation was established to help bridge this gap. By bringing together expertise, lived experience and evidence across sectors, the Foundation works to ensure feeding development is recognised, understood and supported wherever children grow, learn and participate.
